I want to give a birthday shout out to the most wonderful best friend in the world! Kendi, I hope you are having a fabulous day and that you are feeling loved. You have been such a blessing in my life, the LORD sure knew I needed someone like you. You are so loyal, so supportive, and so wise. It is so fabulous to have a friend that speaks truth into your life. You have such a hunger for the word, the truth, and it is so admirable. You have been such a comfort in my life, and for that I am truly thankful. I am so excited for what God has in store for you. You make an impact wherever you go, and the people that come into your life are truly blessed to know you. I admire you in many ways. You are brilliant, fun, a loving and faithful wife, a lovable and devoted momma, hugely athletic, driven, dependable, and above all (for me) the best friend a girl could ask for. I love you, and I hope your day is at least a tenth as awesome as you are!

It has been unheard of cold here. In the negatives for the past 4 days. This has been a long long winter. I love me some snow, but warm weather is sounding mighty fine lately.
Thursday night John had his first volleyball game. It was fun to watch, and to chat with the other wives. The team that he is on is an intramural air force team. John is most definitely sore from using some muscles that have not been used in quite a while. He is loving playing volleyball again.
Last night some of John’s colleagues had a going away dinner, at a local greek restaurant. It was fun getting to know some of his coworkers and their significant others, and the food was tasty!
Today, due to ARCTIC temperatures, all we have done is grabbed sandwiches and a movie. But, aren’t those some of the best days?
Here is praying that this next week brings some warmer weather.
John and I have small group every Wednesday nights at our wonderful friends, the Forbrooks, house. This semester we are doing a series called “Twisting the Truth”. The pastor that does the series, name is Andy Stanley. He is awesome! I think God is going to shed light on some amazing things through this study. I love our small group, what a wonderful mix of people!
Tonight is a leftovers night. I think that we are going to have roasted turkey breast with cranberry mustard sauce, and broccoli. Yum! Then one of our favorite shows, The Office, is on tonight. Man, I love hanging out with my hubby!!!
Alright off to fold laundry…

Ok so I am aware that it has been months and months since I have blogged. I sort of felt like it was too late to start up again. However, my incredible friend, Kendi, just made a comeback. So I began to think about it, and I decided that it is NEVER too late for anything. So here I am.
So what is new with John and me? Not much really. John was told in November that he will be extending. So we will now be in Montana until summer 2012. The news was a little hard to hear for me, mainly because I had my heart on summer 2011. However, once you pray and realize that you are in God’s will, there is NO sadness in that. John and I have some awesome trips lined up in the next few months, and we are so excited!!! In a couple weeks I will be headed home for a visit with some friends and my wonderful family. John has an inspection during this time, so he would be gone all the time. Then a week after I get back from my trip we are headed to California and mexico to visit the Cali friends and our other wonderful family. I am so excited!! We will be road tripping, which is like my favorite thing EVER!!! Then some time this summer, yet decided, we are going to Alaska for a vacation with my family. John is beside himself with this trip. Alaska is a dream place for him.
This past weekend we went to Whitefish to go skiing, and it was a blast. The weather was a lot colder than I am used to, so it took a lot more layering, goggles, face masks, etc. So I felt a bit like a marshmallow in all my layers. It was so nice however to be out in the fresh winter air for hours. I realized very quickly that I am a slow poke. There were plenty of preteens flying past me on the slopes. I don’t know what it is, but it does not feel good to me to plummet down the mountain. I like to “swish, swish, swish”, and take my pleasant time. The whole weekend was wonderful, I love eating out, I love staying in hotels, I love road trips, and I love to ski, so it was pretty much the perfect weekend.
So that is us for the time being. I will try and keep up with my blogging.
Here are a couple pictures from this weekend. The first is me stoked on the way there! The second is John and me at the very top of the mountain with the Dr. Suess trees.
