All Better

29January

1. I finally feel better after a 5 day bout with the flu. It was horrible, and the worst part was Johnny was gone.

2. I started my new work schedule, and I love it! So nice to get home at 1:30  in the afternoon!

3. John got a new bed for the puppies and they love it.

Yuck

24January

1. It’s official…I have the flu. Body aches, splitting headache, and a fever.

2. I am so thankful that John got to stay home, because he has been so wonderful, taking care of me and giving me much needed TLC.

3. I am loving Friday Night Lights.

That age

23January

1. So it seems that John and I have reached that age and point in our marriage that I have to be careful and thoughtful with what I say, wear, and do because the first question on everyone’s mind is…”are you pregnant?” Hahahaha…FYI not preggers.

2. Johnny did not have to go on alert today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So awesome!!! Going out on Saturdays are the worst!!! Then he is gone the whole weekend!

3. Now we are laying in bed trying to figure out what we can do on this very very very snowy Saturday.

TGIF

22January

1. I got to feed and change baby Adley…it was great!

2. John got put on 6 ring for going out on alert tomorrow…so hopefully we will get to have a full weekend together!!

3. I love me new UGG boots!!!

Home

21January

1. Kendi, Cory, and Adley came home today, and we got to go visit them in their true element.

2. I over heard one of my toddlers properly use her words today instead of screaming at her friend like most 2 year olds do when someone takes their toy. She clearly said today “Tanner, I don’t like that.” So stinkin cute!

3. Johnny and I got to hang out and catch up on our favorite shows last night, it was so great.

New Shampoo

20January

1. I used a new shampoo and conditioner today, and wowsers my hair is soft.

2. John did GREAT on his trainer ride!

3. John and I went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant, Jakers, which is always fun we stayed for 2 and 1/2 hours just talking. I love him so much!

Adley

19January

photo

1. Adley Hayden Knop was born this glorious day 8 pounds 1 ounce.

2. Mom and baby did great!

3. She is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen…..seriously!!!

Training

18January

1. We had training today at the center. I don’t mind training too much. It is always nice to see all of my coworkers outside the classroom.

2. Johnny came home safely from alert!

3. I had soup for dinner and I made John homemade fettuccine alfredo with fresh broccoli, and ham.

Games

17January

1. We had a combined service today because our dear friends Steve and Christel were being honored. Steve was made Youth Pastor. They are amazing, and I can’t wait to see how God is going to use them.

2. I had the most amazing sandwich today. It had turkey, vermont cheddar cheese, sprouts, and a dressing that I made…yummy, and so satisfying.

3. I had the best time playing cards with Kendi, Cory, and her mom. We played spades and hoof and mouth for 5 hours…yikes!!! But is was really fun. Poor Johnny is out in the field again. 8 years together, and 3 1/2 married, and I still miss him dearly when he is gone.

Food

16January

1. Of course the Daniel fast has encouraged me to eat healthier. So I went grocery shopping and got me some wonderfully healthy food, that mind you includes meat and dairy.

2. John is starting to train for a marathon again, so he wants to be eating more while I am eating less. This means that I need to be creative. So I made John banana bread and green pepper, onion, ham, potato, and cheese casserole.

3. John’s day of food was: Large glass of orange juice, bagel and cream cheese, protein shake, sandwich, banana bread, and casserole. I on the other hand had: Yogurt, cheese toast, fresh tomatoes with cottage cheese and lemon pepper, and a salad with carrots sprouts, chickpeas, sunflower seeds and cucumber..yum.
