I hope all of you guys have had an amazing week!! Ours was definitely good. This week was incredibly busy for me. I had three evening meetings this week, and John has not had a day off of work in 8 days. So needless to say we have been pretty wiped. It is all very good tired though, because both John and I would agree that we have really hit our groove. We are involved in the ministry that we believe the Lord has called us to be in, we are trucking along both making some money, and our house and lives are more organized than it has ever been. It is nice to feel this way, when all we have to look forward to is the upcoming holidays. My best friend Lauren is getting married at the beginning of November, and then there is Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and then goodbye 2008. I am shocked that we are so close to 2009! Anyway, well as a result of our busy schedule both John and I have been a little sick. I went home from work early on Friday and literally slept from 10-4 pm. John came home from alert and slept a couple of hours…and then we were both ready for bed at 9 pm. The good news is that we both felt incredibly better after catching up on sleep. John and I have both realized that we definitely need our sleep…which means we need to pray that this is not a problem once we have little ones…hahaha. John left for alert again this morning and then he goes out again this Wednesday, so that is always a little bit of a bummer; but I guess it just really makes us enjoy and cherish our time together. Well I hope that this blog finds all of you well…I love and miss you so much!!
I took this picture right before I blogged…

Ok so I may sound crazy, but for those that know me this may not surprise you too much. So, last night I decided that I was going to make a playlist of lullabies for my future precious gifts from God. It was so unbelievably incredible. My heart is filled to the brim with love for my unborn children. I can’t even imagine what it will be like to see their faces. It was also very special to find the lullabies that my momma and daddy sang to me when I was little. Listening to them brought me back to those nights when I was tiny and they would lay on my bed and sing sweetly in my ear. I can feel my mommy’s soft fingers running delicately across my forehead and nose, and the calm vibrations of my daddy’s low and soothing hum; from them I learned what it feels like to be loved.
John and I had a nice smooth week. John got a 100% on his EWO test, which was so amazing because this month’s was extremely challenging. I am still loving work as usual. I went to a surprise birthday on Friday, while John was on alert. Then Saturday we went to a little baby girl’s first birthday. Sunday was great as usual. After church we had pizza and watched the football game. I love doing this because it makes John so happy. I believe that all men should have some competitive activity that they enjoy watching, because John always leaves with a little bounce in his stride, and sometimes a little fire under his booty. Then tonight I had bible study, and John organized his office. We had to say bye to our friend’s Tim and Brittney. They are moving back to Austin. We will miss them. And…that is about it for now. Life is preciously wonderful!
Here is a one of my lullabies…

Well hello loved ones! Ok..I am seriously going to try to be better at blogging. I have decided that I will try my darndest to make it a Sunday night habit. So in the hopes of making this easy on me and not long and boring for you all…I will just tell you a little bit about John and my week…instead of trying to catch you up on our last month and a half. This week was nice and short because of Labor Day. So that is always nice. John and I did not really do all that much for the holiday we just rented some movies and cuddled up on our couch. It was actually wonderful. It was a rainy cozy day, and so we just enjoyed it for what it was…snuggly. We applied for our absentee ballots. So that is good, because I am embarrassed to say this, but I have never voted before…yikes…sorry America. I am excited, now I can take another step towards being a true adult. John and I have decided to go through each room of the house and throw away, sell, store, or donate anything that we are not using. After that we are going to take all the stuff that we are going to store as well as the miscellaneous childhood keepsakes that we have in the basement, and organize them into nice neat plastic boxes on a metal storage shelf that we are going to buy from Sams. So I am pretty excited about that. So far we have already gone through all the books in the house and organized them into read and want to give away, keep for our kids, need to read, and donate. John was very excited with this. Then today we had church, and kids church, which is always wonderful! And then we went over to Kendi and Cory’s house to watch football and BBQ. They had about 35 people there, so it was a lot of fun, and the weather was beautiful! We also had a little excitement for the day. During the BBQ I took a couple of girlfriends around the block to see my house, and while we were sitting on the couch I heard Oscar’s tattle-tale bark from the back yard. So I went to see what was the matter and sure enough Stanley had escaped. He had found his way out of the back yard to chase the infamous squirrel in our front yard that taunts them. Stanley was running around like a crazy dog, and then he ran up the tree to catch him. Fortunately no Stanleys or squirrels were hurt during this escapade. Well..that is about it for this week. I love my life!!
Is it ok to always feel like a little kid?
