Finally after a month of living with one car we are back to two! After work today we drove down to Billings and picked up the volvo. We drove around for a little while before we ate dinner, to see what Billings had to offer. It has quite a bit more than Great Falls, but seemed a whole lot the same. We ate at the Olive Garden and then drove home. It was pretty uneventful. It feels awesome to have that out of the way. It had been looming over our heads for quite a while. It never sounds all that pleasant to spend 8 hours in the car after working in the morning. John is feeling a bit better today which is GREAT! Tomorrow we are going on a small hike; I promised John I would. We are going to pack lunches and take loads of pictures! The sunset on the way home was unbelievable. The sky is so wide here it really makes for incredible starts and ends to days. I am so excited for the weekend! Here is a picture of a building in one of the tiny towns that we drove through on the way home from Billings.
John got home today…and he is SICK. My precious husband has a fever, stuffy nose, and sore throat. I had to go to a faculty meeting tonight; so I made Johnny some soup and went on my way. I thought that I would come back to a sick hubby sleeping on the couch, but NO, my incredibly wonderful, and mind you crazy, husband had put our new guest bedroom bed together. He spoils me rotten! Right now I am sitting in bed next to my sufficiently drugged husband, it is great to have him home snot and all. We leave for Billings tomorrow, so that should be fun! Hopefully Johnny will feel a little better. Oh yeah, I LOVE MY JOB. I am so excited that I have this job! I love the people that I work with, and I am IN LOVE with babies. They brighten my day each morning. They truly make you sit still for a moment and realize how wonderful and amazing the small things in life truly are. I am beginning to believe that the “big picture” in life is overrated. I am in love with the details.I love how John grunts a little when he is eating, the sound of my puppies running down the hallway, the sunrise on the way to work, smelling a babies head while I rock them to sleep, these are just a few. I encourage you all to spend one day savoring every detail. Love always.

Today was a busy one. I worked from 7 to 5. After I was done with my morning job, I was off to watch the precious twins down the block. So today has definitely been non-stop diapers, feedings, napping, and baby talk. I am sometimes afraid that I will forget how to speak normally. In fact, when I saw the parents at my nanny job I asked them how they were doing in my baby talk, which looks like this “How doin?” YIKES!! After work I went grocery shopping. I love the grocery store! When I got home I made myself an incredible salad, with rice pudding and fresh strawberries for desert. Then Johnny called me. It was so good to hear his voice. I told him that I felt like this alert was going be faster than the ones previous. He was silent and then laughed, because apparently 3 days in the capsule always feels like 3 weeks. I am so proud of him. It is neat, because sometimes when he calls me, he will have to put me on hold for sec to answer buzzes and phones calls, and it is pretty cool to hear him being all professional and stuff! I hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday! By the way today is John and my 6 year dating anniversary! We are going out to dinner on Friday. Love you all!

I am listening to the song “Be My Baby” by the Ronettes, and I was just thinking how crazy it is that God knew that John was the one for me even when I was a tiny little girl. It is so amazing to think that I was growing up in my world and he in his, and that in some way all the changes in our life would draw us close to one another until God finally sent us on this beautiful journey of falling completely and utterly in love. Sometimes I feel like I could just burst at the seams with love for him. I am so blessed to have this precious man in my life, and I am eternally grateful. I love you always and forever Johnny.

So John left to go into the field today. I got to drop him off, and in some way I like that better than having to say bye to him at home in the morning, I don’t really know why but it is just easier for me somehow. The rest of my day went pretty well. I worked the toddler side of the room today all by myself, and let me tell you this is not easy. When you have 4 children under the age of 2, meal times are CRAZY!!! At noon I left with all the babies napping and with a little sweat on my forehead. They are so cute! I took them to our sensory motor room and they had a blast dancing around and playing with all the neat centers they have set up. I love watching children play and think, it just amazes me. Then after work I came home, made my bed ate lunch and took a little nap. It was so nice. I ate dinner at my friend Kendi’s house, and then we had our women’s bible study. There is so much breakthrough and healing in my life that I stand with my jaw dropped to the floor in awe of our God. Our friends got 2 puppies this weekend, and she is starting to stress out a little bit. I can’t say I don’t blame her. She has a 9 month old baby boy and now 2 six week old un-potty trained little doggies. We all said that she is more than welcome to ask for our help, or to have our adult doggies puppysit. I think that made her feel a little better. They are so cute too! They are little multi-colored cocker spaniels named Ollie and Bella. I have to say though that they make me feel very content with my two GROWNUP doggies. I hope everyone had an incredible start to their week! Love always!
Today was a beautiful day! We had an amazing guest speaker at Church. He was an Indian pastor that started a ministry called Mana Ministry. It has thousands of churches, orphanages, and hospitals all around India. His message was deep and thought provoking. It is incredible to believe that a country can be so impoverished that leprosy is still a huge problem. His message set fire to a part of my heart that longs to do missionary work. Then after Church we went over to our friends house to BBQ. It was so nice outside. All the doors in their house were open, you could smell the grill, and hear tons of little children’s voices and footsteps running in and out of the house. It was so relaxing. We had planned on going on a little hike today but ended up staying too long at their house. So I promised Johnny that we would go hiking this Saturday. Along with us we are going to bring both the cameras and have dueling photo shoots. It is going to be a blast. John leaves to go into the field tomorrow. I always get a little sad and anxious. I guess it brings back memories of our dating years when we would have to say goodbye for months on end. I don’t like coming home to an empty house. But, it is so fun when he comes home! I hope everyone had an incredible Sunday!

Sooo…John and I over slept today so we were not able to go to Billings and pick up our volvo. The new pick up date is set for next friday. We basically ran errands and lounged around all day. Our progressive dinner was a blast. It was so fun to be the host and wait on people. My friend Christel, who is almost 8 months pregnant, was so sweet and came over and helped make the finishing touches on dinner. She is so precious, she is seriously one of the prettiest pregnant ladies I have ever seen. We had bruschetta and mini quiches at our adorable friends Jessie and Cortney’s house. Baked ziti, lasagna, caesar salad, and garlic bread made with real butter and garlic (the best way), at our house. We then went to our friends Aaron and Nicole’s home for chocolate cake made with coffee and a yummy strawberry, pound cake and cheescake pudding trifle. They have the neatest house. It was built in the 1920s and is white with a red trim. I LOVED IT!! They have such creative taste. Each room had one really bright wall with three others that were a more neutral complementary color to the bright one. All in all it was a GREAT day. Here is a picture of our living room that John took today. I love you all.

I love Fridays!!! I mean who doesn’t? I cleaned my house top to bottom. Tomorrow evening our small group is doing a progressive dinner, and the entree is at our house. The theme is italian and I am making this really good baked pasta that I created. It should be fun. The only worry is; John and I are driving to and from Billings tomorrow to get our volvo. The weather is supposed to be winter stormy, so we would love prayer for the right decision to make. We really need to pick up the car, but we do not want to be careless. Tonight we went out to dinner with our friend Kendi. I had lettuce wraps, and John had a burger, this is totally typical for us. Now we are home and John is cleaning his office, he gets on these organizing kicks every couple months. We got the mattress to our new bed, but not the bed today. We went to the store to pick it up and they said that they needed to make some wholes in it so that the side panels would fit into the headboard. So we are going to have to pick it up next week. I cannot wait to decorate!!! I hope everyone has an amazing Saturday!!!

I was 12 minutes late to work today. My first tardy ever! Johnny set the alarm and some how it never went off. Good thing Oscar was crying to go outside. I woke up at 6:52 and I have work at 7. Other than that it was a good day, busy, but good. Lately I have been so tired when I come home from work, that John and I take a little nap together. So this afternoon I curled up with a quilt and a pillow on the couch, and took a nap. When I woke up it was 7:15!!! I had slept for 4 hours. I asked John why he did not wake me up, and he said that I looked too cute…hahaha! Oh well, I hope that I can fall asleep tonight. John and I always have a hard time getting to bed early because we love our evenings together. But, somehow we are going to have to find a way because I am just not getting enough sleep. Anyway, I woke up and made John breakfast for dinner, eggs, turkey bacon, potatoes, and sliced apples and plums. Tomorrow is Friday…YAY!!!
Today was busy busy busy! The two other teachers that I work with called in sick, and so I was left with all the little ones. I do not think that I have changed so many diapers in 5 hours. It is so weird too, because it seems that little ones always wait for you to put a clean diaper on them to go number 2! Then after work I went directly over to the twins house to watch them for 4 hours. They are so stinkin cute!! Then directly from there I came home and cooked dinner for one of the Families in John’s squadron, because they just had a little baby girl! And…now we just got back from our friend Tim and Brittney’s house. He is doing very very well. They hear back tomorrow about some blood work they sent to California to test and see if it is a one off deal or hereditary. So please pray that this will bring closure and steps in the right direction, whatever that maybe. While we were at their house we watched “Into Thin Air.” Apparently the book is great, however, the movie is dismal! Anywho, I should probably head to bed. Hope you had a delightful day!P.S. This picture was taken of James, one of the twins, with John’s new lens!
