Well first of all I believe that I am in dire need of a hair cut and color. Any suggestions? I am so afraid of getting my hair done because every time I get it done by someone other than the lady that I usually go to back in Texas; they do something crazy and yucky to my hair. I just really want something sweet and stylish. Anyway, today was pretty good. I feel a ton better! Work was good, home was great. I just hung out with my puppies, did laundry, and called some friends and family to chat. Everyone at work was asking how it was having my in-laws in town, and so I got to gush about them all week so far, so that is fun. John and I talked on the phone for a while tonight. It is always so exciting and wonderful to hear his precious voice. We talked about the specific dates for all the vacation and travel that we are going to do this year, it got me very very EXCITED! Well that is about it for today…life moves a little slower when Johnny isn’t home. Love you all!n7916165_42761067_4835.jpg

So today was my first day back at work, and I was so excited to see the precious ones! They are so sweet, it is amazing how much each one of them has blessed my life here in Great Falls. It was wonderful to be back, and the weather was incredible. It was 75 degrees!! Although the warm weather and all the diaper changing made it a little turbulent on the tummy. I made it through the day, and feel great right now! Johnny left this morning for his last three day alert which is awesome! I miss him already as usual, but am excited to clean the house and pick some yummy recipes to cook when he gets home. I had my bible study tonight, it was wonderful. The message was gripping and scarily applicable as always. It was such a quite warm night. All of us girls sat and talked with all the windows in the house open with the breeze sweeping in pushing the delicious smell of blueberry bread through the whole house. Today was GOOD. Oh wow I love my husband…can’t wait to snuggle him again. Love you all!

Soooo..we just got back from our two day trip to Whitefish, MT. It was so much fun. I love road trips. The drive out there was pretty snowy with not much visibility, but the closer we got to Glacier the better it got. I had almost forgotten how beautiful glacier water is. It is so green it is unbelievable. We drove as far as we could into Glacier National Park, before we were brutally rebuffed by the DO NOT ENTER/ROAD IS CLOSED signs. Then we drove another hour until we reached Whitefish. It is possibly one of the cutest little towns. It reminds me a lot of Estes Park. Every building was built with an aesthetic purpose. We sat in the car for about 20 minutes calling hotels and B&Bs trying to figure out what sounded the most cost friendly, as well as the most fun for an evening. We decided on this precious bed and breakfast. It was amazing. We walked in and there was a fire roaring in the sitting room, a beautiful kitchen with hanging copper pots, and two glorious rooms set aside for us with king beds and jacuzzis! We went out to dinner at one of our favorite Montana restaurants, Mackenzie River Pizza Company, and then headed back to our lovely lodge to cozy up in bed. The next morning I was feeling a little strange, but thought that I would shake it off so that I could enjoy the amazing homemade huckleberry buttermilk waffles that the Lodge owner made for us. After a quick breakfast we were on our way to a neat little Mercantile an hour from where we were staying. It was the prettiest drive with this amazing little shop at the end of it. The couple who managed the shop is only there in the winter. They wake up every morning at 4 to start baking homemade goodies. There are all sorts of little knick knacks to spike your interest. Everything from homemade lip balms to imported jewelry. After buying a couple of little trinkets and walking around for a bit, we were on our way. We stopped off in a little town to eat lunch at a typical American Diner. It was at this junction that I realized that I really was not feeling well. I took some medicine and we were on our way. I passed out for most of the ride home. After arriving home…I dragged myself inside took a bath and curled up in bed. After a little while of laying there I made a trip to the restroom and all that wonderful food ended up flushed down the toilet. I have decided that there is nothing better and worse than throwing up. It is incredibly awful while it is happening, and yet you feel so much better when you are done. Anyway, I know that is a bit graphic. All and all the trip was AWESOME, but I came home with a tummy bug, and Dad is fighting a cold. I guess it comes with the territory, and by territory I mean a week of beautiful snow.

I woke up at 1030 today! I have found it hard to wake up in the morning since Mom and Dad have gotten here. I think that it is me trying to catch up on sleep from a week of opening for the center that I work for. We are just laying low today. John and Dad are making a spread sheet…fun stuff! Yesterday we went to Giant Springs, it was crazy to see it all covered in snow. Snow truly transforms things. It seems to me that any piece of land can look three times more pretty with a layer of snow on top of it. We went to a little coffee shop which was fun. They had the best Chai Tea Latte I have ever had. We were definitely thinking of you Chrissie. Then Mom and I had my bible study in the evening. It was awesome. It is amazing what can happen with 5 ladies and the presence of God. The puppies have been particularly obnoxious to me lately…I am so pathetic because writing that makes me feel sorry for them. They are just so rambunctious…I know that they are just little puppies though…and I love them terribly, probably more than I should. Today we are going to go to The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. So that should be fun! Then tonight I believe that we are going to do a nice dinner and a movie…this is my absolute favorite thing to do! Tomorrow we are headed to Whitefish which is a beautiful town near Glacier. I am so excited!! We are kenneling the puppies. We will get there early tomorrow and drive back Thursday!!! YAY!! Love you all!! Oh yeah, I did not want to put pictures up of the new guest bedroom because I didn’t want Mom and Dad to see it, but now that they are here I can. So here you go!

I am sorry that I have not written for the past couple of days, but we have been having a blast!! Mom and Dad got here late at night on Thursday. It was so exciting to see them!! They are the first family members to see my home, and I was soooooo excited to have them see it. No one can understand until they have been there what it feels like to have and decorate your first home. Mom and Dad were so sweet, and made me feel so good about what I have done with the place. I have put my heart into it, and am overjoyed to be hosting loved ones here. Then Friday we went to lunch at Mackenzie River Pizza Company. Mom and I had lovely salads and Dad had one of their famous pizzas, it was awesome! Then we drove around town, talking about how much Great Falls reminds us of what America was like in 50s. We were surprised and blessed that John was sent home from the field a day earlier, and so he arrived home around dinner time on Friday evening, and we sat around grilling him about everything that is entailed in the career of a missileer. That went on for about 4 hours, and then we went to bed. Saturday we woke up and had a yummy breakfast of eggs, hash browns, turkey bacon, and fruit salad. We ran errands in the snow, that had just begun falling at that time, and found some great running/hiking boots for Dad. John recommended that we grab a burger at Fuddruckers for dinner, so we did. After we were stuffed with our American delicacies, we came home and watched three episodes of a new show that we are getting hooked into, called Jericho. It was so cute, each time an episode ended Mom would say “Put the next one on!” This morning we woke up to 3 feet of snow on the ground. The locals say that it is the most snow they have seen over night in several years. The service was great, and Mom and Dad really enjoyed it. John and I officially joined our Church today, so that was special! We at lunch at Quiznos, which is always yummy. Now we are home and warm and getting ready to watch a few more episodes of Jericho. I hope everyone has an awesome Sunday!

Mom and Dad are on a plane tomorrow morning…YAY!!! The house is all prepared for their arrival. Their bed is made, clean towels in the guest bathroom, and plenty of delicious food in the fridge. I am so excited that I can’t hardly stand it! They are probably waking up about now to get ready for their long trip. The puppies got their bath. They are so cute in the tub. They look so sad. I can just picture them saying, if the could speak human, “What are you doing to me…why?!” Once I take them out and dry them off they run around like crazy dogs, I am sure that it feels awesome to have a bath when you have not had one in three weeks…YIKES! Well, I should probably try and get some sleep…it is always hard for me to sleep when I am excited. Hugs!

Finished!

15April

The guest bedroom is done!! It looks so wonderful. I am going to get some pictures and a mirror to hang on the walls…but I will save that for random outings when I find a little something here and there. John and I went to Sams Club after work to get some bulk food items, I like doing this every once in a while. Now all that is left before Mom and Dad come, is to clean the puppies…and let me tell you they are getting a bit stinky. Today was a busy day at work for both John and me. He had EWO and did well, but that is always stressful. I had 5 babies today and it was a little crazy! I figured out that in 6 hours of work I change 15 diapers, give 1o bottles and 7 naps…not to mention playing with the precious ones. It is definitely intense but I love it! Well I desperately need to go to bed. Sorry my blogs have been a bit short, boring, and lacking pictures, but I have been busy busy this week! Love you all!

I got a bookshelf today for the guest bedroom…and I love it!!! The room is come along great. I had to be at work at 6:15 this morning, and run the infant room all by my lonesome. I will be doing that the rest of the week. I now know what it is like to have quadruplets…busy! Luckily the babies were very easy going today…except for a few hungry screams, I mean cries. John had three tests today and Aced both…so awesome! I had my bible study tonight and it was amazing as usual. I felt like the message spoke right to me, as if God was whispering in my ear “are you listening girl?” I love being challenged! John organized our garage tonight. We really work well together. John loves order and I love cleanliness. So he does the organizing and I do the cleaning. Well I am headed to bed. I love you all!

Nuts!!

13April

Today was amazingly busy. John and I worked the nursery at church, and we had eleven 2 year olds. It was beyond crazy!! Afterwards we went to lunch with some friends. Then we went on a mad hunt looking for things for the new bedroom…it was soooooo FUN!! And my Johnny way so helpful, what a champ! The room is looking amazing…I am so excited! I LOVE IT!!! I think that for an alternative job to childcare and teaching; I would love to be an interior designer! I cannot wait to have my first wonderful guests!!

Ticks!

12April

Today we went on a hike, and it was all fine and dandy until we noticed these little bugs that kept crawling on us. We would flick them off and then a little later find a new one. We even got home got completely showered, dry hair and all, and I look in the mirror and there is one sitting on top of my head. We looked it up online and sure enough they are ticks. None of them latched on, but we are praying that they are all gone and that we will not be faced with any tick removal procedures…YIKES!!! Anyway, it was a beautiful drive, and a nice short hike. We found a precious little cafe that we want to try out. We had small group tonight, so that is always fun. Now we are lounging on our couches before we head to bed. Hope everyone sleeps well, and for those already sleeping…sweet dreams.
