1. John and I have been trying to be more creative with our cooking, and it has been a blast!
2. We had fish tacos last night that were amazing!!! So fresh and healthy!!!
3. The weather was incredible today, so John went and read by the river in his hammock. Then when I was done doing some stuff in the yard I met him in there and relaxed in our new AMAZING hammock!!
1. Sorry for the long pause! John and I have been so busy!!!!! My job is less mentally stressful, but has taken on a different kind of pressure..I am now working in the kitchen for three weeks while our cook is away. I have to prepare Breakfast, Lunch and snack for 41 teachers and children..five days a week. I will tell you what cooking in bulk and cleaning in bulk is some kind of workout…with no help. Definitely lesson in mass cooking, which I am sure is always good experience to have.
2. We are three weeks away from John being back in a shop and out of the field…YAY!!!!
3. The weather is now finally warm..so nice!!!! It makes me so happy, and the dogs are stoked!! Went grocery shopping today…what’s on the menu this week?…fresh fish tacos with a cilantro lime sauce, chicken kabobs, killer salad, fresh pasta with marinara and fresh green beans, finally grilled steak, sweet potatoes and broccoli. It is going to be a yummy week!!!
1. Another weekend without the hubby. He comes home this afternoon, and I can’t wait to see him.
2. I had a wonderful Saturday! I had lunch with a girlfriend, bought two new pairs of shoes, made peanut butter oatmeal cookies for small group, and cut up all my fresh fruit and veggies.
3. Tonight we are grilling steak, roasting sweet potatoes, and sauteed greenbeans..yummo!!!
1. So today it was officially warm here for the first time in 8 months. It was gorgeous, and so after church we had BBQ and hung out with friends in our house with all the windows open…I love that! Then this evening we sat around a fire pit and laughed with our besties Kendi and Cory.
2. The series that we are doing at church called “Walk Across the Room,” is truly motivating. At the heart of it is putting yourself out of your comfort zone in order to spread the gospel, and to do so by being motivated by love.
3. John is home for a whole week…I could not be happier!
1. He just got back Thursday and he is gone again…sad…I miss him so much.
2. We were told that they are moving us to a new house this summer. so that should be fun. And even though we will only be in our new house for a little over a year, it will be good to get packed and super organized for our big move to another state.
3. Last night we went to a little town called Belt to have dinner with Cory and Kendi, we had heard great things about the food. You know that America serves too big of servings when I could not finish my meal last night, and again could not finish it as leftovers for lunch today…YIKES!!
1. It was finally nice enough to BBQ, a tad windy with wind speeds of up to 55 mph. We made it work. Hamburgers, salad, and pie..can’t get more american than that.
2. We had the Wood’s new puppy over a Weimaraner named Seamus, he is so adorable and floppy!!! So nice to have a puppy around again.
3. The Knops were over too, with the precious little miss Adley, who is always a joy. It was really nice to hang with friends, and laugh…I feel so blessed.
1. Easter Sunday was awesome!!! Great time with the Woods and the Knops! I feel so blessed by friends.
2. John has been super busy with work, out in the field and then home working 12 hour shifts, not much hubby and wifey time. However this past Friday I got what every missileer’s wife dreams of. He was supposed to post out Friday morning, but then when they found out after all the long hours that he has been working that he was going out yet again, they said no way and sent out the back up. I was so so so excited to have my hubby home finally for a whole weekend.
3. Life is good, work is good, not much new, just loving my husband, family, and friends.
1. This is what my Saturday without Johnny boy has consisted of. Snuggling the pups and watching movies.
2. I miss my honey, he is just so much fun…I have to admit I get a little bored without him.
3. Plus to top it off our best friends are gone to Texas for the hubbies job interview. So all that makes for a quiet Saturday for me. Although I really do enjoy a bit of my own time, I just feel like I have been getting a little too much of it. Boo..haha. I can’t forget that I am infinitely blessed and I absolutely adore and cherish my life!
1. A little sad because Johnny is out on alert.
2. The sermon today was INCREDIBLE!! “Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.” (Luke 6:26) I feel I am so very very guilty of this. I want people to like me and so I become tolerant to things that I don’t believe are right because I want people to not feel judged and I want them to like me. Our pastor in response to that feeling said “Trying to please everyone is a dangerous goal.” I forget that tolerance is not love. Love is love, and truth is truth. Now I need to learn how to love and speak the truth through love, without fear of man but with fear of God.
3. I went to lunch with friends and had fish tacos that were yummy, all in all it was a pretty great day!
1. Can’t pin point what is going on with me. Headache, eye aches, back aches, low grade fever, and sooo sleepy.
2. Johnny had to leave this morning, but I am so excited because he going to be home Friday and Saturday night!!!! So great!
3. I got to sit outside on the playground in the gorgeous sun and watch some of the cutest kids run around playing and saying the cutest things!!!!
